[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] The Department of Political Science at Iowa State University invites applicants for a tenure-track position in political economy who can teach and do research in such areas as globalization, the politics of economic development, or the effects of political and economic integration on global politics. The appointment will be at the assistant professor level and will begin on August 16, 2006. The aim of this appointment is to allow the Department to offer courses and conduct research that transcend the traditional boundaries of comparative and international politics and to provide our students with a more integrated picture of the relationship between economics and politics. The position is open to all areas of regional specialization, conceptual themes and methodological approaches. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching programs in the comparative/international politics areas, do research in her/his area of specialization, and publish in quality refereed outlets. Applicants must have a completed Ph.D. in Political Science (or related field) by the appointment start date, and evidence of scholarly record and successful teaching. Salary is competitive, based upon experience and qualifications.
