The University of Waterloo Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in World Politics, more specifically in the foreign policies of the United States and/or major powers in Europe, in Asia or in Africa. The successful candidate must be capable of teaching second year world politics lecture courses and senior undergraduate and graduate seminars in aspects of international politics and in conflict and conflict resolution. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and the successful candidate must demonstrate a strong programme of research (publications and grant record) and an excellent teaching record.
The appointment is effective July 1, 2006 or when filled. Send the application, c.v., teaching dossier and two or three samples of recent scholarly work to the Chair, Department of Political Science, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, N2L 3G1 by October 3, 2005. Make arrangements for three letters of reference to be sent to the Chair by the closing date.
