[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS/COMPARATIVE POLITICS/Bethel University (MN) The Department of Political Science invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment beginning fall 2006. Ph.D. in International Relations, or in Political Science with a major emphasis in international relations/comparative politics required. Demonstrated teaching ability in international relations and U.S. foreign policy, with competence to teach courses in Middle Eastern politics or other non-Western areas. Candidate must be committed to the liberal arts educational mission and evangelical Christian orientation of the college and demonstrate commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring students, and scholarship (www.bethel.edu). Candidate must demonstrate the ability to contribute to Bethel’s anti-racism efforts and cross-cultural understanding. Responsibilities include: teaching seven courses or equivalent per year. Course assignment will include introductory and upper-level international relations courses, U.S. foreign policy, and one or more comparative or area specialties; participation in the teaching team for the interdisciplinary survey course “Christianity and Western Culture.” General faculty responsibilities will include student advising, and department and committee assignments.
