Brigham Young University
[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)]
The Department of Political Science seeks applications for a permanent (continuing faculty status) track position from well-qualified candidates with a completed or nearly completed Ph.D. in any area of political science. While the Department welcomes applications from all areas of political science, the Department has particular needs in comparative politics and international relations. The specific region or specialty within any of these sub-disciplines is open. The appointment would begin in the Fall of 2006. Successful candidates will have a strong research agenda and will be committed to giving the university’s students a sound academic experience. BYU, an equal opportunity employer, requires all faculty to observe the university’s honor code and dress and grooming standards. Preference is given to qualified members in good standing of the affiliated church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rank is open. Salary, teaching load, and research and travel support are competitive. The Department will begin considering applications on September 30, 2005. Applicants must include a resume, graduate transcript, at least three letters of recommendation, and samples of scholarly work.
