[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] The International Studies Program at DePaul University in Chicago is seeking to fill two assistant professor positions starting in fall 2006. The program is committed to hiring a diverse faculty to teach our multi-ethnic student body. Among our candidates, we encourage applications from scholars of color and women who can contribute to an interdisciplinary program that draws upon geography, sociology, anthropology, political science, legal studies and economics to study contemporary international affairs and global cultural processes. The BA program in international studies offers motivated undergraduates rigorous academic training that prepares them for advanced studies across a range of graduate or professional school disciplines. The MA program is geared toward students who desire to further careers in international civil society. The Program values outstanding teaching and innovative pedagogical approaches. Cover letters should include a statement of teaching philosophy and evidence of (1) interdisciplinary work, (2) specialized training and scholarship that will strengthen or expand program curricula, especially in the fields of critical security studies, postcolonialism, and social theory, and (3) potential contributions to graduate student research skill development.
