[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] The Department of Political Science at TCU seeks applicants for a tenure track assistant professor position. We seek a candidate with expertise in international politics and in the sub-fields of American politics involving civic engagement and undergraduate pedagogy. Evidence of a commitment to teaching and interest in joining a strong undergraduate department that offers three degree programs (B.S., B.A., and B.A. with international relations emphasis) is expected. Responsibilities for this position would include directing our Model United Nations Program, sharing responsibility for our program in Civic Literacy, and additional teaching obligations to complete a 3-2 teaching load, The successful candidate for the tenure track position will be expected to maintain an ongoing research agenda. The research may include published pedagogical-related work in connection with TCU?s Center for Civic Literacy. Salary is competitive and based on experience and qualifications. Candidates with a demonstrable record of directing a Model UN Program and also of working with community leaders and NGOs in an urban community with the object of involving undergraduate students in community affairs will be preferred.
