[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] Bellarmine University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Political Science at the assistant professor level beginning August 15, 2006. The History and Political Science Department at Bellarmine University includes four full-time faculty; only one of them a political scientist. For this reason, the department seeks an individual for this position who has wide-ranging academic preparation and a broad teaching repertoire, including required introductory courses in American politics, research methods and perhaps political theory. The successful applicant will be expected to engage in scholarship and generate peer-reviewed publications for promotion and tenure. Specialization in comparative politics or international relations is preferred. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape the future Political Science major. S/he must also demonstrate a strong commitment to student advising. A Ph.D. in Political Science is required for this 4-course-per-semester position.
