The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of the Johns Hopkins University is seeking to fill a tenured or senior contractual level position at the level of associate or full professor in African Studies. This position will involve providing dynamic leadership to the African Studies Program. The position is open to applicants in any social science discipline (including History) and the position will begin with the fall 2006 semester. Preference will be given to candidates who combine excellence in teaching, outstanding academic research, and a record of interest in current issues related to Africa.
