[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] The University of Oklahoma seeks to fill a tenure-track position in East Asian politics at the rank of assistant professor. This position will be a joint appointment in the School of International and Area Studies and the Department of Political Science. Applicants must be able to teach survey courses in comparative politics or international relations, as well as upper division and graduate courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. We prefer candidates with a specialization on Japan as well as strong skills in the appropriate theories, methods and language tools. The appointment begins 16 August 2006. Salary will be competitive. Applicants should have, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. and demonstrate a potential for excellence in teaching and a sustained record of publication.
