The Department of Government and Public Administration invites applications for the posts Assistant Professor(s)/Associate Professor(s)/Professor(s)(Ref. 05/180(080)/2)(closing date: December 29, 2005). The Department offers a BSSc major programme in government, a minor programme in public administration, as well as MPhil/PhD programmes. Applications for the above openings are invited from quality scholars in all fields of the discipline and those in the fields of international relations, political philosophy, comparative politics and public administration will be particularly welcome. Applicants should (i) have a PhD degree in relevant disciplines, (ii) be able to bring new ideas of scholarship to the Department, and (iii) be able to enrich the teaching curriculum of the Department. Appointments will initially be made on a fixed-term contract basis for up to three years starting from August 2006, with prospect for renewal or re-appointment on a longer-term basis thereafter, subject to performance and mutual agreement.
