[APSA elisting(requires membership)] POLITICAL SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR Riverside City College Posting #C-802 Closing Date: November 9, 2005 Salary: $47,209 to $72,736 POSITION DESCRIPTION Carry primary responsibility for lecture and/or laboratory instruction in Political Science: National and California government and another area of Political Science as indicated in the preferred qualifications. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in political science, government, public administration, or international relations OR bachelor’s in any of the above and master’s in economics, history, social science, sociology, any ethnic studies, JD, or LL.B.; OR the equivalent. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. in Political Science, teaching experience in American Politics and Political theory in one of the following areas: International Relations, Comparative Politics, Public Administration, Constitutional Law, Political Economy, or area studies such as Middle East, Africa, East Asia, Europe; experience in the use of computer technology as a teaching tool; evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of socioeconomic, academic, cultural and ethnic diversity within the community college student population including students with physical and/or learning disabilities as these factors relate to differences in learning styles.
