International Relations The University of Miami is seeking outstanding candidates for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in the field of International Relations to begin August 15, 2006. A strong commitment to research and excellence in teaching is essential. The position is open with respect to theoretical and methodological orientation; successful candidates should be capable of teaching the main contending traditions (e.g., realism, institutionalism, critical theory, constructivism, etc.). The teaching load is three courses per semester, with a combination of introductory, upper-division, and graduate-level courses. Applications received by January 31, 2006, will be given first consideration, although we will continue to accept applications after that date until an offer is made. ABDs are welcome to apply, however, Ph.D. must be in hand by August 1, 2006.
