The Department of Government at Wesleyan University seeks applicants for several one-year visiting assistant professor level positions in comparative politics and international politics for the 2006/07 academic year. The positions may be structured as full-time visiting assistant professor positions teaching four courses per year or as .8 FTE postdoctoral positions teaching three courses per year. All positions are open with regard to field and area expertise, but we do have a particular need for specialists in Latin America, East Asia, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or be near to completion. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, graduate school transcripts, a writing sample, syllabi if available, and evidence of teaching effectiveness (but please do not send copies of individual student evaluations) to: Ms Tina Salafia, Department of Government, Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT 06459.
