Brunel University

[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] Professor/Reader/Senior Lecturer in Politics and/or International Relations The Politics & History subject group at Brunel University seeks applications from excellent candidates for a position in Politics and/or International Relations. The appointment will be made at either Professorial, Reader or Senior Lecturer level. It is hoped that the successful candidate will be in post by September 2006. The School is particularly interested in candidates who can offer teaching in the areas of Governance and/or Global Public Policy/Global Governance, but strongly welcomes applications from excellent candidates in any sub-field of Politics or International Relations whose research profile complements one or more of the three research groups within the subject area: International Relations & Security, American History & Politics, and Government (including Political Theory). Politics scored a 4 in the last RAE and 23 in the QAA Subject Review. It is also currently recognised for receipt of ESRC 1+3 awards. This appointment is the latest in a series, designed to further strengthen the group’s research profile. In the past 18 months, we have made four new appointments at Senior Lecturer or above and it is intended that there will be additional recruitment during 2006/7. Informal enquiries should be made to the Head of Politics & History, Dr Justin Fisher, either by telephone (01895 266309) or by email (justin.fisher@brunel.ac.uk) Application details can be found at: http://www.brunel.ac.uk/about/job/cdata/academic/
