[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] Western Carolina University is seeking a visiting assistant professor in political science to teach introductory courses in international relations and comparative politics. This is a nine-month fixed-term position starting in August 2006. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a master’s degree in political science or a related field from an accredited institution, ABD or PH.D. preferred. This position carries a 4/4 teaching load with limited service obligations. Salary is $32,000 with benefits. Western Carolina University is located in the picturesque Cullowhee valley between the Great Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountains. The campus is 50 miles west of Asheville and 150 miles northeast of Atlanta. Review of applications will begin February 15 and continue until the position is filled.
