Clarkson University

[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] The Clarkson University Department of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications for a three year appointment in Public Policy to begin in August 2006. This position involves teaching a required, writing intensive course for first year students, and courses in the undergraduate Political Science Program. The search is open regarding subfields, but an ability to teach courses in International Relations is a plus. Specifically, we are looking for a candidate who can teach a range of policy courses from the introductory level to more advanced policy areas (environmental policy, energy policy, health care, public administration, etc.). Ideally, applicants would also be able to offer courses that dovetail with one or more of Clarkson’s strong programs in science, engineering, and business. The ordinary teaching load for the Department is three courses per semester. Located in the Saint Lawrence River Valley, between the Adirondack high peaks and Ottawa and Montreal, Clarkson University provides easy access to both outdoor recreation and international social and cultural opportunities.
