I second the Wisconsin question. There are two potential positions for IR at Wisconsin-Madison: one in Poli Sci and one interdisciplinary (Intl Studies). Then there is UW-La Crosse.
No information about a specific job, but my University (3-3 load, regional school) has about 70 applications and we've been advertising for about 2-3 weeks. Not sure if that number is higher or lower than you expected, but thought you might be interested in some actual data.

How many positions does Maryland have? It seems like an awful lot of interviews for only one or two slots.
I was told that Maryland is planning to hire five in IR.
