[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] Arkansas Tech University invites applications for TWO tenure-track Assistant Professors of Political Science beginning August 15, 2006. ABD in political science or related field required, Ph.D. preferred. Areas of specialization for both positions should be American politics, with the ability to teach the introductory American Government survey course and upper-level courses in areas of expertise. Applicants for Position One should be able to teach state and local governments and American political institutions; applicants for Position Two should be able to teach courses in American political institutions as well as International Relations and Comparative Governments. Candidates must demonstrate teaching effectiveness, commitment to service, and research productivity. Arkansas Tech is a mid-sized liberal arts university emphasizing teaching and undergraduate education. Closing date is November 15, 2005, or until filled. Interviews will be conducted at the January 2006 SPSA Meeting in New Orleans.
