The Department of Political Science at Emory University seeks to fill up to two lines in the areas of statistical methodology, formal theory, and IR/ conflict and security, pending final budget approval. The positions are authorized at the Assistant Professor level, but in exceptional cases more senior candidates will be considered. In statistical methodology and formal theory, we seek candidates who can teach advanced courses at the graduate level and who have research and teaching interests in American politics, comparative politics, and/or international relations. In IR/ conflict and security, we seek candidates with research and teaching interests in the areas of international conflict, security, and/or institutions. All candidates should have strong theoretical and methodological training and must demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in both research and teaching. The teaching load is four courses per year and salary and benefits are competitive. To ensure full consideration, applications should be received by October 1, 2005.
