[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] INTERNATIONAL POLITICS University of Pittsburgh The Department of Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a tenure stream position in International Politics at the Assistant Professor level, pending budgetary approval. We seek individuals with research specialization in the area of civil wars and/or intra-state conflict, broadly defined. The search criteria include: (1) an active research program in the area of civil wars and/or intra-state conflict, (2) the ability to teach a graduate-level seminar on civil wars and intra-state conflict, and (3) the ability to teach a graduate-level seminar on international relations theory. The appointment begins with the Fall 2006, academic term. Candidates will play an important role in the department?s undergraduate program in world politics. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. degree prior to the start of the appointment.
