The Department of Politics at the University of Virginia invites applications to fill a tenure-track position for a specialist in international relations or comparative politics. The successful applicant will have completed the Ph.D. or be able to demonstrate that he or she will have done so by August 2006. Applicants should (1) send a cover letter, c.v., graduate transcript, writing sample, brief précis of teaching evaluations, one-page description of future research plans, and three letters of recommendation to Chair, IR/CP Search Committee, Department of Politics, University of Virginia, P.O. Box 400787, Charlottesville, VA 22904-4787; and (2) complete the on-line portion of the application by accessing www.virginia.edu/politics/ircp.html and entering some basic data about themselves. We begin considering applications on September 15; however, the position will remain open until filled.
