[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] International Relations (Subject to Final Approval) The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in International Relations beginning in the fall semester of 2006. As a university that educates students of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, we value a diverse faculty and staff. CSU, Chico welcomes applicants who are knowledgeable about and interested in working within a cross-cultural learning environment. Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in political science or related field is required (ABDs with expected completion of the degree by fall 2006 will be considered). Preferred Qualifications: Promise as a teacher/scholar in international development and globalization preferred. Specialization in a geographical region such as Latin America, Asia or the Middle East with the ability to integrate gender, globalization or democratization issues into curricula at the upper division and graduate levels. Experience with or willingness to engage in grant and contract activity is desirable. Responsibilities: Applicants should have a background and interest in teaching in the areas outlined above as well as an introductory course in IR quantitative methods. Applicants must also maintain an active program of research and seek external support.
