[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)]
The Department of Political Science at John Carroll University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in International Relations for the 2006-2007 academic year. Emphases within international relations are open although the ideal candidate would be able to offer traditional courses in IR (a survey introductory course, International Organizations, Foreign Policy) as well as develop courses in an emerging area within IR (International Political Economy or transnational issues including but not limited to migration, human rights, etc.) and would have a secondary interest in comparative politics. Preference will be given to candidates with a completed Ph.D. although advanced ABDs may be considered. The teaching load for tenure track faculty is three courses per semester. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2005. Please submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness, sample syllabi, a writing sample, graduate transcripts and three letters of recommendation to: Lauren Bowen, Search Committee Chair, Department of Political Science, John Carroll University, 20700 N. Park Blvd., University Heights, OH 44118. John Carroll University is an AA/EEO employer and encourages applicants from historically underrepresented groups.
