The Political Science Department of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level starting August 2006. Responsibilities: The successful candidate must be qualified to teach International Politics courses in the Political Science Department’s undergraduate program. Courses will include Introduction to International Politics, American Foreign Policy and International Law and Organizations. In addition, the candidate would be expected to develop additional courses in their specialty. All members of the department are expected to teach across more than one field. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach one or more of the following areas: Public Policy, Comparative Politics or Research Methods. Requirements: A Ph.D. from an accredited institution is a prerequisite for tenure. Preference will be given to candidates who have the Ph.D. in Political Science by August 2006. Candidates invited for an interview will be required to demonstrate teaching effectiveness, give a research presentation, and participate in a general interview.
