International Relations The Department of Political Science invites applications and nominations for two or more new positions in the field of International Relations at the rank of assistant professor. The Department is seeking individuals with the promise of scholarly records that will make significant contributions to one or more areas within this field. (In addition, the Department is seeking candidates at the rank of associate professor this year.) The successful candidates for these positions will participate in the expansion of the international relations program in the Department, which currently has six active scholars. These new positions are intended to expand the breadth of coverage of the subfield and enhance the general strength and reputation of the international relations program. The fields of specialization for all these positions are open, but we are most interested in scholars who combine strong theoretical interests with sophisticated approaches to theory development and testing. The Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University is a doctoral level department with an active research faculty, and is home to the Program in Foreign Policy Decision Making. More information about the Department and University is available on the Internet at http://www-polisci.tamu.edu. Applicants should send a letter that describes their current research program and teaching interests, a curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, a graduate-school transcript, and a writing sample. We are especially interested in applications from and nominations of candidates who would increase the Department’s gender, racial, and ethnic diversity. Texas A&M University is an AA/EOE employer. Review of applications will open on September 15 and will continue until the positions are filled. Send applications to: Patricia A. Hurley, Professor and Head, Department of Political Science, Texas A&M University, 4348 TAMU, College Station, TX 77845-4348.
