UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA Comparative Politics/International Relations The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track position in international relations or comparative politics with a specialization in terrorism and political violence. We welcome applications and nominations from those who have served primarily in academic positions as well as those who may have served the government, non-profit organizations, or in the private sector. The position is also open to those who draw upon ethical or legal perspectives in the study of violence and terrorism. Candidates are expected to teach introductory courses in either international relations or comparative politics, in addition to undergraduate and graduate courses on terrorism, violence, and warfare. A completed doctorate, or strong evidence of likely completion by August 15, 2006, is required. The potential for excellence in teaching and research, with the strong likelihood of a sustained publication record, is expected. Commencing August 16, 2006, the position will be filled at the level of Assistant Professor. Salary will be competitive.
