The Department of Political Science at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Political Science in the field of International Relations. Secondary preparation in an area of Comparative Politics other than European Politics is desirable. Applicants must be prepared to teach a range of upper and lower division courses in international politics, including an introductory course in World Politics, as well as some courses in Comparative. In addition, the successful candidate must be willing to participate in the college’s First Year Experience for freshmen by teaching in a learning community. An earned doctorate in political science is required. ABDs who can establish that their doctorate will be confirmed by August 2006 may be considered. Evidence of teaching experience/effectiveness and scholarship required for candidates with earned doctorate and desirable for ABDs. All applicants should submit a letter of application, vita, graduate transcripts, a one page synopsis of their dissertation topic, evidence of teaching experience/effectiveness, and three academic letters of recommendation to: Dr. James R. Additional information will be requested for candidates moving to later stages of the search. The position is subject to final budget approval in the 2007 Fiscal Year.
