[Department Website][APSA elisting(requires membership)] LOCK HAVEN UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY, POLITICAL SCIENCE, AND ECONOMICS The University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Political Science/International Relations/Comparative Politics. The position will begin August 19, 2006. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities will include the instruction of World Politics and/or American National Government at the introductory level, as well as upper-level undergraduate courses in international relations or comparative politics. Candidates who demonstrate a commitment to experiential learning, academic outreach programs, and international study programs and to effective teaching and advising will merit positive consideration. The normal teaching load is twelve credit hours per semester. Up to one quarter of this load may be assigned to Lock Haven University’s Institute for International Studies to provide support to students seeking to participate in study abroad programs and to provide support to international students studying at Lock Haven University. The doctorate is required; ABDs will be considered if they show strong probability for completing the terminal degree within one year of employment while carrying a full work load.
