Pending final budgetary approval, the Division of Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in any field of the Social Sciences related to Korea (including but not limited to communications, geography, history, public policy, sociology, political science, social psychology, and history). We seek a scholar with demonstrated distinction and strong future potential in research and teaching. We also prefer a dynamic program builder with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary dialogue with colleagues throughout the university. In addition, the successful candidate will join UCLA’s International Institute as a faculty member of the Center for Korean Studies. Appt. to begin July 1, 2006. Send letter of application, vita, statement of research and teaching interests, 2-3 selected publications or dissertation chapters, and at least 3 letters of recommendation to John Duncan, Chair, Korean Social Science Search Committee, Center for Korean Studies, 11373 Bunche Hall, Box 951487, UCLA, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1487.
