I think we assume that the master IR job table is considerably out of date. Among other reasons, there are job candidates giving job talks at various places that don't correspond to the table (for ex, E. Saunders is giving hers today at GW and she's not listed on the table as being on the short list). But I don't blame the moderators -- stuff is spinning along quickly these days, and we wait on pins and needles (or at least some of us).
8:26 is right (and thanks for excusing us). We've been holding off on updating because of a flood of often vague information. We've also had problems getting more specific information lately. The GW interview, for example, takes us by surprise. We had no idea that they went back into the pool.
It would be really helpful if people could supply more specific information about interviews. That increases the confidence we have in the information *and* makes it more worthwhile for us to update.
Also, don't forget to describe the source of information.
I, for one, have made several substantive posts here with information on my sources (e.g. candidate, member of search committee, etc.), and it's not up on the table. Are you considering "vague" anything that isn't emailed to you directly? Not all of us have anonymous email addresses from which to send info (nor should we need to open up a bogus account for this purpose, if we're already sourcing our claims here).
8:40: please don't take any general comments personally. Obviously, you and many others have been very specific. We certainly didn't mean to blame others for any failures we've made to include information on the tally board. The best solution is to remind us if we've left something out -- and doing so in comments is fine.
We should note that while emails often provide excellent information we have no bias against anonymous comments. We've also been a bit slow lately to update from emails, so this is our fault as well.
Wasn't the claremont job supposed to be Middle East/IR? did they go for a more general hire in the end? I heard they may have hired someone without any ME background-although one of the other candidates didn't have much either.

Anyone heard of movement on positions at Elizabethtown, Franklin & Marshall or Gettysburg?
I know Elizabethtown is done with interviews, but don't know if they've made an offer.
Princeton had IR candidates a few weeks ago and has made a decision if not an offer.
Re: Princeton, does that mean no offer, or that you are not sure either way?
Anyone have an update on UMass IR slots beyond the fact that they held some interviews?
C. Thyne got the East Carolina offer but haven't decided yet.

8:33,
Interviews for multiple lines have been interspersed over the past couple weeks or so. SC meets this week to sort it out, and decide the next step.
I didn't know that East Carolina was a state. Huh.
Any news on any of the places with early Dec. deadlines - Dayton? Central Florida?
It's Eastern Carolina University (ECU). It's in NC.

Also, we've been lax about policing names with offers. Please do not post who got an offer, only that an offer has been made.
Thanks

princeton has made an offer
Harvard has made an offer.
Has Columbia (general IR position, not IPE) opted out, moved very slowly, or under the radar?
harvard may make a second offer
Colorado has made an offer. Source: secondhand.

[edited -- see our policy on revealing offers (even if we forget to enforce it sometimes). Also, please note that we've opened a new thread.]
C. Thyne, B. Mendelsohn and V. Hui all interviewed at Tulane. Tulane has made an offer.
