CIS invites applications from scholars who specialize in Latin America and its interaction with the international system. This specialization covers a wide range of topics and countries but we are particularly eager to encourage applications from scholars focusing on Mexico and its relationship with the United States. The competition is open to junior scholars: those who have received a Ph.D. within the last 3 years or who will have defended a dissertation by August 2010. Equivalent experience is not accepted. EVALUATION
Applicants will be evaluated on the bases of academic achievements and promise, publications and previous work experience, the quality of the research proposal, and the applicant’s potential for making significant scholarly contributions. Awards will be announced in Spring 2010.
COMPENSATION
The Center will provide a stipend, office space, USC library privileges, health insurance, $1,000 towards moving expenses, and computer support. Fellowships are funded by the Center’s endowment.

This was a typo -- so many GW positions listed, we put the information in the wrong row of the table. It has now been corrected. The junior Security position, not the junior ME position, is the one for which interviews have (reportedly) been scheduled. If anyone has more definite information, please post in comments, or e-mail us.

From UCLA Dept announcement - Larry Rubin (UCLA PhD, Belfer postdoc) has accepted the security position at Georgia Tech.
From George Washington University, Elliot School, in reference to the International Security position: "The Search Committee has decided against making an appointment for the 2010-2011 academic year."
GWU Elliott School has also declined to make an appointment for their open sustainable development position.
