International Relations/Comparative Government. Meredith College seeks qualified applicants to fill an assistant professorship in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations and Comparative Government and with a regional focus on the Middle East. Subject to budget approval, this full-time, renewable position will begin in August 2006. Candidates must have Ph.D. in hand and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Optimal candidates will also be qualified to teach Introductory American Government, The World in the 20th Century and Model United Nations. Training in Asia, Africa, or Peace and Justice Studies is also an asset. Effective teaching and advising, scholarly activity and service to the college are required for promotion and tenure. Meredith College is a private comprehensive women’s college of 2,200 students offering both liberal arts and professional programs, located in Raleigh, North Carolina near the Research Triangle.
