There are no less than 35 jobs sharing the same deadline of October 1st (as well as six others this week). See the IR Job List Fall 2006 for the full list. October 1st is a Saturday, meaning that no deliveries are likely to be made on that day, so if you're looking to make the deadline, make sure they're sent overnight by Thursday, September 29th. As was pointed out in earlier comments, get them in as soon as possible! In other news, both job postings for Lewis & Clark College (IO and China) have been pulled for this year; the Tulane job has also been pulled, presumably due to the hurricane. For those who speak French, jobs for the Université de Montréal and the Université Laval. For those without knowledge of French but who would like to live in Canada anyway, Concordia University also has a position open.

George Washington University (NE Asia)

The first set of real deadlines (i.e., those that were not listed as "Until Filled") is coming up soon on September 15th, including Carleton College, the University of Toronto, and two positions at Texas A&M at the Asst. and Assoc. levels. The remainder of the September 15th deadlines were listed as "until filled" at apsanet; see individual job listings in the IR Job List Fall 2006 post for more information. Toronto, as one anonymous commenter notes, "Unlike US schools, we can offer a proper currency and a nationalised health system." See the Toronto post for more information; any rumors about the remainder of the schools with September 15th deadlines? The next set of deadlines is grouped at the end of September/beginning of October. Four recent jobs were posted with the entirely unhelpful "Review of applications will begin immediately" deadline (Three Georgetown positions on International Migration, Geopolitics, and a visiting position in Security Studies as well as one at Francis Marion University, although the first two are senior positions); two other jobs at Columbia, one in IR and the other in IPE, were posted earlier with the same deadline.
